When I was in high school I would drink my green smoothies every morning. Every morning I would drive to the track in my families 1989 Honda accord, run a mile come home and make a big green smoothie for my sister and I. I think back to these days and so many good memories come flooding back. I loved my SR year of high school. Me and my sister were inseparable. We would spend hours at Walmart, getting cheap clearance clothing. I would cook dinner for my family and we would all sit at the dinner table talking and enjoying each others company. Wow its crazy how food can bring back memories so vividly.
This is such a simple drink which is how I like to keep my green drinks. There are so many recipes for green smoothies, but this one is my favorite!
If I’m going to have a green smoothie, it has to have kale in it. Seriously that leafy green is a superfood! When I consistently incorporate kale into my diet, my skin thanks me! My skin clears up, and glows like never before! Not only does it help my skin, but it helps my digestion too!
Smoothies are a great breakfast item because they are quick, easy to prepare, convenient, and a great way to add nutrient dense foods!
Ingredients To Make Green Smoothie:
Total Time: 5 minutes
1 cup chopped pineapple
1 cup Two Good Yogurt
1 1/2 cup milk ( I used oat milk, coconut would also be a great option)
1 leaf of kale
2 mint leaves
ice- I used a handful
How to Make Smoothie:
Throw all the ingredients into a blender, then blend until smooth.
