So last week I shared a couple books that we bought for the spooky season, and we have read enough where we’re starting to see the story play out. The Apples Never Fall thriller is SO good. I love a thriller, and the story is starting to build and I have my suspicious already brewing. 🙂 I have never been good at reading, but last year we started reading at night and I instantly grew to love it. My husband will read to me, and it’s so good for me because it MAKES me concentrate and pay attention or else I get so lost. The vampire book, is a little harder for me to pay attention too but my husband loves this one. This book is huuuuge, and has some explicit language just a heads up.
So a few weeks ago, we went up to Strawberry reservoir and saw the Kokanee Salmon. Have you heard of them? Here in Utah, salmon isn’t a common thing. Basically the trout turn a vibrant red/orange color because they are spawning. It was soooo cool to see, especially because the trees had already turned yellow so the comparison was beautiful. It was surprisingly freezing for a September day. Sadly, I didn’t get any pictures of the fish. 🙁
I have been craving some homemade bread, I’m thinking about making this recipe. I’m not an expert on bread recipes…yet so this one seems simple, and explains the steps very thoroughly. I’ll let you know how it goes. If you have a good bread recipe DM me on insta. I would love to hear from you!
This week I posted an amazing pumpkin chocolate chip recipe on instagram, I posted it here as well. It’s so flavorful and has the perfect texture. I’ve already made two loafs this week, best part is you only need one bowl. 🙂
I want to go to the farmers market and get some fun pumpkins for the porch. My home town has the best farmers market, I think I’ll get some from there. Do you have a farmers market near you?
At least two times a week my husband request Chebe pizza or cheese balls. This is the pack I always get, but we use it so often I can’t keep up. I just bought more this week, it seriously is our favorite and always pairs well with anything we are eating. The other day I made soup for my husbands family (they are Brazilian) and they approved of this Pao de Queijo (which means cheese bread in Portuguese). If the true Brazilians approve, you know its good.
My friend Chrissy posted this recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookie Magic Bars and oh my gosh I need to make these asap. I love this season for all the baked goods.
Ooh and one last thing, the other day I mentioned I’m making a new ebook. 🙂 I’m really excited for this ebook. It’s going to be so beneficial to those that have busy lives with kids, work, school, ect but want a healthy homecooked meal with minimal effort. Its 10 crockpot meals and that are high in protein and balanced with carbs and fats. It will also have minimal ingredients, and most spices you already have in your cupboard. I hope to show you eating healthy doesn’t have to be dreadful or take too much time/effort. Anyways if you have any questions, let me know.
