BBQ X2 Chicken Sandwiches

BBQ Chicken then tossed into BBQ sauce…. BBQ x2 BABY! That’s what I’m talking about! There are two ways you will see me cooking chicken (most of the time)! Crockpot or on the grill! Grilled chicken is so dang good! I can’t wait for grilling season! It’s already starting to warm up here, and I am taking advantage of the sunshine today by grilling up some chicken! These easy and delicious BBQx2 chicken Sammies are amazing! One of the things that make these sandwiches so good is my favorite BBQ sauce STUBBS! Hands down the best tasting BBQ sauce. I love the consistency, the fact that it only has 5g of sugar, and 7g of carbs! Next time you are at the store look through the typical BBQ sauces, you will be shocked with the nutrition facts. Anyways let’s get to it! You can add your favorite toppings, like coleslaw, pickles, tomatoes, or banana peppers!

THE RECIPE

BBQ X2 Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients for BBQ Chicken Sandwiches: 5 chicken Breasts – fat trimmed 2 tbs crushed garlic 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup milk 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp dried basil 1 1/2 cups Stubbs BBQ sauce 1 green onion – chopped 6 pepper jack laughing cow cheese wedges 6 hamburger buns OPTIONAL- lettuce, pickles, banana peppers, coleslaw How to Make the BBQx2 Chicken Sandwiches: Start the BBQ, turn to a high heat. You want it HOT! Make sure the lid is closed. Next in a large bowl add your chicken, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, milk, and seasonings. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated. Turn the heat down to medium high heat, then add each chicken breast to the grill. Close the lid and let the chicken cook for 8-10 minutes. Flip the chicken then cook an additional 7-10 minutes. I would check it around 7 minutes, depending on big the chicken breasts are. You want the center to be a yellow/white color. This will ensure the chicken is not under or over cooked. Remove the chicken then let it rest for 2-5 minutes. I like to take this time to prepare each hamburger bun. I love the pepper jack laughing cow cheese wedges, it pairs really beautifully with the bbq sauce. Add the topping you like. Once the chicken has cooled, chop into one inch thick chunks. Add the chicken and bbq sauce to a bowl, mix until evenly coated. Add a couple scoops of chicken to each hamburger bun and enjoy!
