2-3 chicken breasts- fat trimmed 1/2 cup low fat buttermilk 2 garlic cloves chopped or crushed 1 Jalapeno seeded & chopped 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp chives 1/3 tsp smoked paprika 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp garlic powder Start with seeding and chopping the jalapeno, then chopping/crushing the garlic. Next, slice the chicken horizontally down the middle, to create thinner slices of the chicken. Add to a medium size air tight container. Pour the buttermilk and the spices over the chicken. Stir to evenly coat the chicken. Add the lid and refrigerate for al least 10 minutes. You can prep this and leave in the fridge until you are ready to cook. Add the chicken to the air fryer. Cook at 400 degrees for 8 minutes, flip, cook the chicken for another 10 minutes. Let the chicken rest for at least 2-3 minutes. Enjoy with your favorite sides like mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, rice, or on top of a Caesar salad.
