I have always loved this appetizer…. or is it a meal because you cant stop eating it?? Appetizer or meal I am here for it, cause 7 Layer Dip is so dang good!
I added a layer of crockpot chicken and replaced the sour cream with greek yogurt….. are you even surprised??
Also can we take a moment for that beautiful avocado? 👀🙌 Although my avocado was perfect, I totally layered this wrong. How? I know the freaking sour cream, I mean greek yogurt goes on top…. but here we are with the salsa on top. How you layer it doesn’t really matter, because its going to taste amazing. Just make sure the guac is in the middle so it doesn’t turn brown.
I used a stand mixer to smooth/combine each layer. You can use a hand mixer as well. Either way I highly suggest a mixer, let that thing do the work for you.

Ingredients to make 7 Layer Dip:
1 14 oz can refried beans fat free
1/4 milk (any milk works)
1 cup plain greek yogurt (I used Fage)
8 oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese
1 tbsp of taco seasoning
6 oz shredded chicken
1/2 lemon juice
1 cup salsa
1 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (I used low fat)
1 green onion chopped
1/3 cup olives (optional)
2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions how to make 7 layer dip
I started with the refried bean layer.
Add 1 can of refried beans with 1/4 cup of milk to the stand mixer (or a large bowl if you are using a hand mixer). Once the beans and milk have combined, spread evenly to a 9×9 pan.
*I didn’t worry about cleaning the bowl in between each layer. It’s going to get covered by the next layer, so it’s not a big deal. Use a rubber spatula to remove each layer.
Next add 60z of crockpot chicken to the stand mixer. Mix on low until the the chicken has shredded. Add a layer of the chicken evenly over the refried beans.
The next layer is the guacamole. Add 2 ripe avocados and the juice of 1/2 a lemon to the stand mixer. Mix until the avocado is smooth. Add the avocado layer on top of the chicken layer. Next top the salsa on top of the avocado mixture.
For the last layer, add the greek yogurt, cream cheese, and taco seasoning to the mixing bowl. Mix on low speed until combined. Add the greek yogurt layer on top of the salsa, then add the shredded cheese, green onions, olives, and cilantro.
Keep Refrigerated until ready to eat!
